Daniel Mcgarey appointed executive head chef of refurbished Royal Lancaster London

Royal Lancaster London on Hyde Park has appointed Daniel Mcgarey as its new executive head chef, following the completion of its £85m renovation.

Mcgarey will lead a team of 70 staff and oversee all culinary areas including Nipa Thai, Island Grill, Park Restaurant and the hotel's extensive banqueting offering as well as its 24-hour in-room dining service.

One of the largest banqueting hotels in the capital, the Royal Lancaster comprises 16 event spaces including the Nine Kings and Westbourne Suites which can seat 2,400 guests collectively for dinner.

Mcgeary joins the hotel from the Shangri-La Hotel at The Shard in London where he held the same position. He has previously worked for the Gordon Ramsay Group and Marcus Wareing, at The Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge.
