Dalip Singh named CEO of Montigo Resorts

Dalip Singh has been named chief executive of Montigo Resorts ahead of the launch of the Ellen Kensington in London.

 

Montigo Resorts operates hotels in Batam and Bali in Indonesia and in Somerset in England, but has hinted at plans for “more city hotels in the UK and Ireland”.

 

The collection is owned by KOP Limited, a Singaporean real estate company.

 

The Ellen Kensington will officially launch next month, taking its inspiration from the Victorian-era actress Dame Ellen Terry.

 

It comes after the group acquired the 105-key Burns hotel in London’s Kensington in 2023, which consisted of five interconnected town houses, a large reception, bar, restaurant facilities and a private garden.

 

Singh will also oversee Montigo Resorts Somerset at Charlton House in Shepton Mallet, which opened last year as a 28-bedroom English country house hotel with a thermal spa, as well as the group’s two Indonesian properties.

 

As a founding member of Montigo Resorts, Singh has already played a significant role in growing the brand and has revealed aims to expand the collection’s global footprint over the next 10 years.

 

He has 25 years of industry experience, having worked for brands such as Pan Pacific, the Ritz-Carlton, Dusit International, Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt.
