The Daisy Green Collection is launching two barge restaurants tomorrow at the Grand Union Canal at Paddington Central, London.
The Australian restaurant group, which also includes the Beany Green, Daisy Green, Timmy Green and Peggy Jean brands in London, will launch Darcie and May Green, two 50-metre boats painted with designs by British pop artist Peter Blake, who designed the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover.
The menus on the boats will feature Antipodean-inspired food, cocktails such as raspberry sours and espresso martinis, and an array of natural new world wines and local craft beers.
The brunch menu will include coconut French toast, bacon rolls, banana bread sandwiches and smashed avocado on charcoal sourdough with labneh. Other dishes include halloumi fries, sticky beef short ribs, Szechuan soft shell crab and ‘giant' chicken parmigiana, as well as celeriac steak, seared sashimi-grade tuna and Asian chicken salad.
‘Bottomless' afternoon tea will also be served, and the boats will be available for private hire.
