The announcement coincides with Paul Wadsworth’s appointment as general manager of the 52-bedroom property.
Countrywide Hotels has secured the management contract for Liverpool’s Baltic hotel.
As part of the agreement, Paul Wadsworth, who has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, has been named general manager of the 52-bedroom property.
The Baltic hotel opened in 2021 in Liverpool’s creative district and was put up for sale for £10.5m the following year.
It features the Duck and Swagger pub, which hosts pub quizzes and drag shows, and all the rooms have a musical theme.
Wadsworth said: “I’m excited to get going at the Baltic hotel. We’re in an exciting and cool part of the city, and I really hope to be working closely with other local businesses and venues to help promote the wider area of the Baltic Triangle.”
Darren Patt, managing director of Countrywide Hotels, added: “The Baltic hotel in Liverpool is a fantastic addition to the Countrywide Hotels portfolio. Bringing something completely different to our collection, the hotel brings to life the musical culture that Liverpool and the Baltic Triangle have to offer. We’re excited to see Paul and the business go from strength to strength.”
Countrywide Hotels manages over 15 properties across the UK, including Denham Grove hotel in Buckinghamshire, Holiday Inn Maidstone in Kent and the Warbrook House Heritage hotel in Hampshire.
