The Corporate Receptionist of the Year award 2020 is open for entries.
The award was presented for the first time last year to recognize exceptional hospitality staff working in the corporate sector.
The competition is open to any professional front of house receptionist working in an eligible corporate office, whether directly or through a third-party contractor. Only one applicant per organisation is permitted.
Applicants should download the entry from the CROTY website, answer several questions, submit a 45 second video clip and include a written endorsement by their reception, front of house or facilities manager. The closing date is 28 February. From the entries 10 finalists will be shortlisted for interview in April.
Paula McMinn, customer service facilitator and programme lead at the Dorchester Collection Academy will be overseeing the judging panel. She was the winner of the UK Hotel Receptionist of the Year 2015 and International Receptionist of the Year winner 2015 for her work at the Savoy. McMinn will be joined by a team of experienced senior executives with substantial experience in the corporate sector.
The winner will be announced at an awards event on 13 May. The prize will include entry on a two-day leadership development programme, a five-day trip to New York and dinner for two at a Michelin-starred restaurant in London.
The winner of the inaugural Corporate Receptionist of the Year award was Kitija Lace from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, who said: “The trip to New York was absolutely brilliant. Every day I was shown around some amazing sites, including Viacom, Citi, Accenture and the Rockefeller Center, and the level of service was so incredible, and the people I met so very welcoming and kind.
“It was great to see how believing in the same values and having the same goal, no matter where in the world you are, it’s possible to create unforgettable experiences for our guests.”
