The first Verdi Hotels sites will be located in Malta and Budapest.
Corinthia Group has launched independent lifestyle brand Verdi Hotels, which has revealed ambitions to open 20 hotels across Europe by 2026.
Verdi Hotels, which is being led by president Paul Pisani and chief commercial officer Jonathan Liu, will be rolled out this summer, starting with two properties in Malta (the 106-bedroom Gzira hotel and 200-bedroom St George’s Bay Marina hotel, pictured) and one 310-bedroom property in Budapest.
More launches under the Verdi Hotels brand have been scheduled for destinations across Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
Each hotel will include a snack shop with ‘just walk out technology’, which will automatically charge the relevant guest room upon check-out.
The brand will work and operate independently within the Corinthia Hotel Group, which owns over 10 Corinthia properties globally and two Radisson Blu resorts.
Pisani said: “Our vision is to redefine hospitality through our localised offering, providing unmatched experiences in leading destinations. People are at the core of everything we do, and our aim is to strengthen connections built through travel and stays.”
A spokesperson for Verdi Hotels confirmed there are “no immediate plans for UK launches”.
