Comptoir Libanais announces plans to open new site in London Bridge station

Lebanese canteen brand Comptoir Libanais has announced plans to open a new site in London Bridge station this August.

The new 100-cover restaurant will serve traditional Middle Eastern and Lebanese home cooking from breakfast to dinner.

Founder Tony Kitous said: "We are so excited to be opening Comptoir Libanais in this iconic space. We can't wait to share the love of Lebanese food and culture to the locals of London Bridge; the local residents, commuters and workers in the area. It is a perfect location for us to make Lebanese food available to many people."

Breakfast offerings will include shakshuka, a classic dish of slow-cooked tomatoes, red onions and peppers with parsley, coriander and garlic, topped with a fried egg and crumbled feta, served with pita. The all-day menu will include a large selection of hot and cold mezze, Lebanese wraps, marinated grills and tagines.

The restaurant chain currently has 22 branches across the UK as well as a site in Holland and more planned in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Kitous has also recently published his third cookbook Feasts from the Middle East.
