Colin Heaney has returned to the general manager post at Charingworth Manor after 22 years away.
He has since spent two and a half years at the Lygon Arms in Broadway, and eight years at the Bear Hotel in Hungerford. He was also general manager of Wyck Hill House in Stow on the Wold for eight years.
He joins the hotel having most recently worked for Peter de Savaryâs hotel operations, and replaces Michael Eastick, who was general manager of the hotel for 10 years and has now retired.
Heaney said: âMy aim is to further establish Charingworth Manor at the heart of the community, and over the coming weeks and months we will be getting involved in more local events to support local people and businesses."
Richard Grime, managing director of Classic Lodges, added: âAfter Michael Eastickâs retirement following many years of fantastic service, we wanted to appoint someone who was going to continue his excellent work within the community.
âColin already knows the hotel well from his first time as general manager, so I am sure he will settle in quickly and use his experience to grow such a stunning hotelâs appeal locally and beyond.â
