The Coaching Inn Group has continued its buying spree with the acquisition of the 33-bedroom Rutland Arms hotel in Bakewell, Derbyshire.
The company now has 17 properties as it moves towards its target figure of 20 sites.
In December 2019 the group announced that a £22m refinance package with equity partner BGF would help support further acquisitions. Soon after it snapped up the 22-bedroom Bell Inn in Stilton, Cambridgeshire.
Kevin Charity, chief executive of the Coaching Inn Group, said: “The Rutland Arms is a fantastic addition to our business and we are very excited about returning it to its former glory.
“Its location right in the centre of one of the UK’s busiest tourist towns provides us excellent opportunities to develop our premium offering through the rooms, dining and coffee shop areas of the business."
A refurbishment of the hotel will start later this month as part of an initial £750,000 investment in the property. Located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, the property dates back to 1804.
