Chris Warwick returns to the UK, joining Gara Rock in Devon as head chef next week.
Acorn Award-winner Warwick will join the resort in Salcombe from his role as executive head chef at the English House by Marco Pierre White in Singapore.
He replaces Lewis Glanvill, who is leaving the hotel for a head chef role at Riverford Field Kitchen in nearby Buckfastleigh.
Warwick previously worked as head chef at the Soneva Fushi resort in the Maldives; as executive chef for John Campbell Restaurants and Marco Pierre White Restaurants, and as head chef at Coworth Park in Ascot, Berkshire, and Colette's at the Grove hotel in Chandler's Cross, Hertfordshire.
Gara Rock was acquired in 2016 by Aria Resorts after being put on the market by Kingfisher Resorts the previous year for £8.5m. It relaunched last year as a wellbeing retreat following significant investment.
