Chris Hill has been appointed executive chef at the Cadogan, a Belmond hotel, in London’s Chelsea.
He will oversee operations at the Adam Handling Chelsea restaurant and bar, Cadogan’s by Adam Handling and the hotel’s private and in-room dining.
Hill has achieved the Master of the Culinary Arts Award and was a finalist to represent the UK at the Bocuse d’Or in 2017.
He spent five years cooking at Whatley Manor and progressed to sous chef, during which time the restaurant won two Michelin stars. Hill then joined the Ritz, where he worked for two years as premier sous chef.
Hill said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the exceptionally talented team at the Cadogan, and it couldn’t be at a better time as we reopen the hotel this week. I’m looking forward to leading the team at Adam Handling Chelsea and ensuring all guests enjoy a luxury gourmet experience across all areas of the hotel.”
Handling has been chef patron at the Cadogan since it reopened in 2019 following a four-year, £28m renovation.
