Our second Chef Eats Out event, in partnership with Udale Speciality Foods, will take place at Aiden Byrne's Manchester House on 8 November. Book your place now!
Merseyside-born Aiden Byrne has come a long way since he shot to fame for being the youngest chef to head up a Michelin-starred kitchen, at David Adlard's eponymous restaurant in Norwich, in the mid-1990s. Fast forward 20 years, and Byrne has continued to enjoy a glittering career boasting highlights that include Pied a Terre, the Dorchester Grill, Roscoff in Belfast, restaurant Tom Aikens and Danesfield House, among others.
The following year, seduced by the bright lights of the city, Byrne opened Manchester House in a joint venture with North West powerhouse Living Ventures - âa see-and-be-seen sort of spotâ, writes the AA Restaurant Guide, where diners can enjoy âtechnically outstandingâ cuisine.
 Â
Byrneâs four-AA-rosette cooking has garnered a reputation for being distinctive, gutsy and âunconventionally traditionalâ. His career is steeped in traditionalism, and his flavour combinations stay true to classical marriages. However, he delivers his dishes in unique and unexpected ways â" fine dining, but ânot a stereotypical fine dining restaurantâ the Made in Great Britain author told the Manchester Evening News, with a focus on making the most of local ingredients and quality produce from nearby Cheshire butcheries.
Â
The Caterer and Udale Speciality Foods have joined forces to host our next Chef Eats Out event at Manchester House on 8 November, where you can have the chance to sample Byrneâs brilliant food among fellow chefs.
Â
The event â" for 65 lucky diners â" will begin at 12 (noon) and lunch will be followed by a tour of the kitchen. The event is expected to finish at 3pm.
