Richard Caring's Caprice Holdings to open restaurant in restored Theatre Royal Drury Lane

Richard Caring’s Caprice Holdings is to open a one-of-a-kind restaurant in the Theatre Royal Drury Lane when it reopens in autumn 2020.

The group, behind London restaurants including Sexy Fish, Scott’s and Le Caprice, will open in a newly acquired adjacent building on Catherine Street.

The venue, operated by LW Theatres, is currently undergoing a £60m restoration. Andrew Lloyd Webber, composer and owner of LW Theatres, said: “I am delighted to announce this partnership with Richard Caring and Caprice Holdings.

“Richard is a brilliant restauranteur and showman, both of which are essential to ensuring the theatre will continue to be a vibrant part of Covent Garden life. He is behind many of the countries most loved and entertaining restaurants, making it a perfect match to our ambitious project at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. I’m thrilled to be working together.”

Caring added: “We at Caprice Holdings are honoured and excited to be working with Andrew Lloyd Webber. In this historic part of London, we hope to create something special and truly unique that will make you smile.”
