Restaurant group Camino is to open a fifth restaurant, this time at Principal Place on London's Curtain Road.
Camino Shoreditch will be a 75-cover tapas bar and 80-cover restaurant on the ground floor, with a heated 40-cover terrace for outdoor drinking and dining. It is set to open in September
Designed by B3 Designers, the new site will feature tiled floors, a carved wooden bar and vintage posters, while the restaurant will have dusty pink walls, reclaimed timber and glass door screens.
Executive chef Nacho del Campo will use Spanish ingredients as well as working with local suppliers.
Richard Bigg, Camino owner said: "In November 1995 when we opened Cantaloupe on Charlotte Road, Shoreditch was a very different neighbourhood, completely unknown to the rest of London, and all my friends thought I was mad. But I had a good feeling in my bones about it and it turned out to be the right thing at the right time. The DNA sparked off then, lived on in all the bars we opened since and very much so now at each Camino. That's why it's a fantastically exciting prospect to be opening Camino in the much-evolved but as exciting as ever Shoreditch, and be going back to our roots!"
