The four-red-AA-star Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club in East Grinstead has appointed Byron Hayter executive head chef.
Hayter joins the 106-bedroom property in East Sussex having been executive chef at four-red-AA-star properties including Rhinefield House in the New Forest, Eastwell Manor in Kent, and L'Horizon Beach in Jersey.
Replacing Andrew Wilson, he will be overseeing all aspects of dining at Ashdown Park, including the two-AA-rosette Anderida restaurant, private dining, afternoon tea and picnics.
Hayter said: "This is a massive opportunity to take on a role at a hotel with such a great reputation. We are excited with future plans to develop the chapel, including the creation of a new kitchen, which will strengthen our already outstanding F&B offering."
