Broadwick Soho hotel appoints senior team ahead of opening next year

Several appointments have been made to the senior team of the Broadwick Soho hotel in London, including David Monson (pictured below) as general manager, ahead of the property’s opening next year.

The 57-bedroom hotel, the first London hotel to be designed by Martin Brudnizki, is a collaboration between friends Noel Hayden, owner of the hotel and chairman of Anzo Group, and Jo Ringestad, managing director of Broadwick Street Holdings, whose background is predominantly in fashion.

Both Ringestad and Hayden have experience at their respective family hotels in the French Riviera and Bournemouth.

The Broadwick Soho was originally expected to open in September, but has been pushed back to June 2022.

Monson was formerly general manager of Como the Halkin London and worked for the Four Seasons group for 18 years, including as director of food and beverage at its London and Hampshire properties.

Meanwhile, Sabine Kern has been named director of sales and marketing, having previously held the same role at the London Edition, and Andrea Gelardin, appointed creative director, was a former creative director for singer Lady Gaga.

Ringestad said: “At Broadwick Soho, we want to redefine what a modern hotel can do by offering an elevated space that is ingrained in London culture and also delivers an unparalleled level of authentic hospitality. We are thrilled to welcome onboard this incredibly diverse team of talented professionals who will elevate the execution of our strategy as we propel the hotel forward through its opening and beyond.”

The hotel’s food and beverage concepts will be operated in partnership with Jamie Poulton and chef Ed Baines, founders of Randall and Aubin on nearby Brewer Street.
