Coworth Park executive chef Brian Hughson is to leave the five-star luxury country house hotel at the end of February.
Hughson, who joined Coworth Park in July 2012 from sister hotel the Dorchester where he worked as head chef of the Grill, was said to be leaving for "personal reasons".
Coworth Park's general manager, Zoe Jenkins, told Caterer: "It has been a pleasure working with Brian during his five years with Dorchester Collection, and we wish him
well in his next venture."
In the interim period, the position will be covered by executive sous chef Ishtiaq Mirza, supported by the Dorchester executive chef Henry Brosi.
Hughson succeeded Chris Meredith, who moved to the Sandy Lane, Barbados, as sous chef. Meredith had been appointed at Coworth Park following the restructure of the food and beverage operation after John Campbell, formerly director of cuisine, changed his role to a consultancy one. The consultancy came to an end in November 2011, a month after the restaurant won a Michelin star.
Restaurant Coworth Park sous chef Conor Toomey and director of operations Knut Wylde will also leave later this spring. "Both have been offered fantastic opportunities to further their careers elsewhere in the industry, and we thank them for their contribution and wish them every success in their next steps," said Jenkins.
Jenkins confirmed that Coworth Park was in the process of seeking successors for the posts.
