Abode, the mid-market city centre hotel group, is to launch its second all-day European-style dining venue in Chester, next month.
Brasserie Abode will open at the four-AA-star, 84-bedroom Abode Chester on 14 June, following on from the launch of the first outlet in the brand at the Abode Manchester in April.
The brasserie will replace the current fifth-floor restaurant and Champagne bar on the fifth floor of the hotel.
Dishes will include smoked haddock Scotch egg, crab bisque (£8); lamb chops, rosemary, garlic (£19); and rice pudding, sour cherry compote (£6).
There will also be a daily dish of the day such as coq au vin, shepherd's pie and Lancashire hotpot, all at £9.95, as well as a roast on Sunday.
The creation of the Brasserie Abode concept has been overssen by Alan Swinson, group associate director, food and beverage, of Andrew Brownsword Hotels, the owner of the Abode brand of five properties.
Opened in 2010, Abode Chester originally featured a dining concept from chef Michael Caines, who was the food and beverage director of Andrew Brownsword Hotels until 2014.
The five Abode hotels are located in Canterbury, Glasgow, Exeter and Manchester, as well as Chester. The Exeter hotel is to be rebuilt following a fire which destroyed the property in October 2016.
A spokesperson for Andrew Brownsword Hotels said that that it is hoping "to open further Brasserie Abodes across the UK in the future".
