Steak and lobster restaurant group Bourgee is to open its fourth restaurant, this time at London Southend Airport.
A third restaurant is has recently launched in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.
Bourgee director James Welling said: âWeâre incredibly excited to be playing a pivotal role in London Southend Airportâs development plans as their new European routes are unveiled. The food and beverage side of the retail revamp will see the airport get a luxury lift that will firmly put Southend on the flight map as a desirable destination to depart from. Our new Bourgee Bites â" Bar - Luxe Lounge will feature a stunning Champagne Bar, alongside tables serving tapas style plates inspired by our signature dishes.â
British Master Chef and director of Bourgee, Mark Baumann added: âThe Bourgee Bites â" Bar - Luxe Lounge at London Southend Airport will reflect the look, feel and quality of our leading restaurants located in nearby Southend-On-Sea and Chelmsford. While our menu will be in a tapas style, the food will continue to be sourced from the very best suppliers, all served in a warm, welcoming and luxurious setting. We have a strong reputation within Essex, but the addition of London Southend Airport means we can bring our signature Bourgee format to the international and wider UK market.â
London Southend Airport is part of Stobart Group and flies to approximately 30 destinations with easyJet and Flybe.
Bourgee plans to open a fifth restaurant in Norwich later this year.
