Foodservice provider Bidfood has published its latest Pub Kitchen Club guide, which outlines how pubs can upgrade their menus to attract higher spend.
The report, entitled ‘Unleashing your menu’s potential’, includes insight from Bidfood’s culinary development chefs on premiumisation and encouraging engagement from consumers, as well as advice from pub group Brewhouse and Kitchen.
It will offer food and drink trends, tips on creating a profitable menu, product recommendations, popular recipes and how to incorporate competitive socialising.
The report comes amid the closure of 600 pubs in 2023, which marked a 10.4% drop in sites since March 2020, according to data from CGA & Alix Partners.
Joe Angliss, head of customer marketing at Bidfood, said: “Entering into the new year, we know that pubs will be thinking about how they can bring something new to the table for their customers. It’s one of the reasons why the Pub Kitchen Club has been revamped in line with this launch, to inspire our customers.
“It’s devastating to see how many pubs are closing every year. We hope the launch of ‘Unleashing your menu’s potential’ will inspire pub operators and arm them with the tools they need to increase footfall and ultimately, margin, to help better secure their future.”
