Bespoke Hotels has taken over the running of the Mill Hotel & Spa in Chester, bringing the number of hotels it operates in and around the Cheshire city to five.
The firm has secured a long-term lease to run the hotel, founded by local businessman Gordon Vickers, following its recent sale to an unidentified freeholder.
The Mill Hotel, which was opened in 1987, has 132 rooms and a floating restaurant called L'eau-t Cuisine, as well as a bar, meeting and events spaces, a spa and leisure facilities.
Bespoke chief executive Haydn Fentum said: "We are thrilled by the prospect of working with this historic property.
"The opportunity to strengthen our presence, both in Chester and the north west of England is an exciting one, given how this market has flourished and become highly significant within our portfolio.
Vickers added: "It has given me enormous pride to develop the business over the last 30 years. I am pleased to have found a suitable home for the hotel, which will preserve its atmosphere and culture."
Bespoke, which runs 200 hotels across the UK, already operates several hotels in the area, including the iconic Chester Grosvenor, the Hallmark Hotel Llyndir Hall Chester South, the Hallmark Hotel the Queen Chester, and the Hallmark Inn Chester.
