The Belfry promotes Chris Eigelaar to resort general manager

The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield, North Warwickshire, has announced Chris Eigelaar’s promotion to resort general manager.

Eigelaar joined the four-silver-AA-star, 319-bedroom property in 2018 as general manager and replaces former resort director James Macbeth Stewart, who is taking some time out with his family. The Belfry is recruiting for a new general manager.

Eigelaar said: “It is an honour to take on the role of resort general manager and continue to deliver and build on what we’ve created at the Belfry and ensure we retain our position as a major player in the hospitality industry, while still offering our guests the same warm and welcoming award-winning Belfry experience that we are renowned for. I am looking forward to exploring new opportunities with the Belfry team.

“It has been a difficult time for the hospitality industry and there’s still a long road ahead of us given hotels and venues aren’t yet permitted to operate at full capacity however, now that vaccinations have begun does mean there’s light at the end of the tunnel.”
