Beaverbrook Town House to open in London next month

The London outpost of luxury country house hotel and golf club Beaverbrook is opening next month.

Beaverbrook Town House, in partnership with landlord Cadogan, is opening in Chelsea following the £25m restoration of two Georgian townhouses.

The property will have 14 suites and an art deco aesthetic with Japanese touches, designed by Beaverbrook’s creative director Sir Frank Lowe and designer Nicola Harding, who also worked on the Garden House at Beaverbrook in Leatherhead, Surrey. The properties draw on the tastes of the late Lord Beaverbrook, the media magnate and politician after whom the brand has been named and in whose former home the Surrey hotel is located.

The 60-cover Japanese restaurant has been named the Fuji Grill and Omakase Sushi Bar which, like the Dining Room at Beaverbrook, will serve sushi, sashimi and nigiri, alongside dishes such as wagyu with juniper miso. The team will include restaurant general manager Trudi Fairweather, previously manager of Nobu Berkeley Street; head chef Alex Del, formerly senior sous at Dinings SW3; and Beaverbrook’s head sommelier Giovanni Tallu has curated the wine list.

The hotel will also have a meeting room, private events room and a perfumed garden, reserved for corporate functions and private hire. The hotel is set to open from 31 August.
