It comes as the caterer revealed plans to expand its Welsh business.
BaxterStorey has secured a five-year catering contract with Coleg Sir Gâr, a further education college in Carmarthenshire as it seeks to expand its reach in Wales.
The caterer will oversee the portfolio of restaurants, cafés, vending, retail and hospitality outlets available at all five of the college’s campuses, which collectively serve more than 5,000 students and 1,000 employees and visitors.
As part of the agreement, BaxterStorey will make a “major investment” into the college’s catering facilities, which will include the installation of new kitchen equipment and the development of Airstream food trailers that can serve street food outside the college’s Forge Sports Hall and Fitness Suite.
There will also be a revamped main reception area with 24-hour vending machines, as well as the addition of a Starbucks-branded beverage dispenser.
Daryl Williams, operations manager at BaxterStorey, Wales, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded this new flagship partnership with Coleg Sir Gâr, which was impressed by our enthusiasm, energy and ideas during the presentation and bid stages of the tender process.
“This is a very important new partnership for our business in Wales, especially as we continue to grow and develop our Welsh business. We see further education as an existing growth market with further opportunities that we’ll be exploring in the future.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
