Atul Kochhar's Benares celebrates 10th anniversary with nostalgic menu

Atul Kochhar's Michelin-starred Indian restaurant Benares is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a limited edition nostalgia menu.

The menu, which launches on 3 June, will give diners a chance to sample some of the restaurant's most popular dishes from the last decade in business.

Kochhar opened Benares in London's Berkeley Square in May 2003 following his success at Tamarind, where he became the first Indian chef to win a prized Michelin Star in 2001. A second nod from Michelin followed in 2007 when Benares earned its star.

The celebration set menu will be available until mid-September and priced at £78 per person and will include many of chef patron Kochhar's signature dishes.

These include karara kekda aur lagosta (crispy soft shell crab, Kochhar's signature peri-peri lobster cocktail, baby watercress); tandoori ratan (fennel infused lamb chop, mustard marinated king prawn); and meen moilee (pan-roasted wild sea bass, vermicelli, coconut and curry leaf sauce).

A vegetarian menu will also be available.
