Arora Group announces series of senior management appointments

The Arora Group has announced a series of new hotel management appointments at its London Heathrow airport hotels.

Yousif Al-wagga (right) will join the group as general manager of the 710-bedroom Renaissance London Heathrow; Ryan Nicholls (left) will move from his role as general manager of the Renaissance to become general manager of the 605-bedroom Sofitel London Heathrow; and James Berry (centre), currently general manager of the Sofitel, has been appointed general manager of the new 304-bedroom Crowne Plaza and 457-bedroom Holiday Inn Express, due to open at Terminal 4 in late summer.

As well as a new luxury country house hotel and spa that is being built on the site of the Savill Court hotel in Windsor, Arora has over 1,100 bedrooms in development. This includes the Hilton Garden Inn at London Heathrow Terminal 2, due to open this year.

Vincent Madden, group director of operations, said: "Both Ryan and James continue to do a stellar job for us and we're happy to be in a position to continue to offer them new challenges within the group. Yousif joins us with extensive hotel and hospitality experience and I'm confident he will be a real asset to Renaissance London Heathrow as well as the wider Arora team."

Al-wagga joins the group from Apex Hotels, where he was joint managing director, having previously been group operations director and general manager of the Apex City of London.

He said: "The Renaissance Heathrow is a fantastic property and I'm looking forward to the new challenge of leading the team."
