Apex Hotels has appointed Stewart Campbell as a non-executive director.
With over 20 years hotel industry experience, Campbell was formally managing director of one of Europe’s largest hotel management companies, RBH (formerly Redefine/BDL Hotels).
During his career he has operated over 100 hotels in the UK and Ireland, from limited service to luxury and from 30 bedrooms to 930 bedrooms. He holds several directorship in hospitality businesses and had ownership interests in many different hotel assets over the years.
Welcoming him to the board, Apex Hotel's chairman Ian Springford said: “It’s an exciting time at Apex Hotels, where we are continuing to invest in the business. Stewart brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the sector, both at an operational level and on the acquisition and opening of new hotel properties to support our growth ambitions.”
Campbell added: “It is a privilege to join such a strong hospitality business at such an exciting time for the industry. I have long admired Apex Hotels, which delivers an exceptional guest experience in key hotel markets throughout the UK. The company’s values of trust, passion, friendliness and teamwork align with my own personal values, which are important for me.
“I look forward to working with the board and the whole Apex Hotels team to continue the success story by delivering fantastic guest experiences in great hotels assets.”
Apex Hotels was founded by Scottish entrepreneur Norman Springford, who launched his first hotel in 1996 in Edinburgh's Old Town.
