Splendid Hospitality Group has appointed Andrew Kendrick as managing director, hotels.
Kendrick first joined the business as regional operations manager in 2016. In 2019, he was made divisional managing director, and in 2020, he was promoted to group operations director.
The managing director, hotels role has been created for the first time and arose from an internal restructure of Splendid Hospitality’s senior management team.
Kendrick is now responsible for managing the group’s branded and independent hotels, as well as overseeing the pipeline of upcoming developments and refurbishments.
Commenting on his appointment, he said: “Splendid has always been an entrepreneurial business with incredible agility, and it is a real honour to build on my seven years with the family by taking over the leadership of the entire hotel portfolio.”
Nadeem Boghani, vice chairman of Splendid Hospitality, added: “We have worked hard this year to redefine Splendid’s vision and values, and create strong strategic pillars of our business, leveraging talent and creating centres of excellence. Andrew is a key part of our growth strategy, and I am looking forward to seeing him lead the division.”
