A three-week programme of American football games at Wembley Stadium helped boost business at London hotels during October, according to data company STR.
STR said that it had recorded the highest occupancy and revenue per available room (revpar) levels for any October on record last month.
Revpar and average daily rate were up by 13.4% to £142.73 and 6.2% to £160.13 respectively, while occupancy increased by 6.7% to 89.1%.
Demand was also up by 8.5%, far outstripping supply, which increased by 1.7%.
