He had been the general manager of the 33-bedroom property for almost three years.
Alberto Pelaez Herrera has revealed he is stepping down as general manager at Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh after almost three years at the property.
Posting the news on LinkedIn, he said: “Three amazing years at Gleneagles, what a great family to have been part of. Thank you Sharan Pasricha and Conor O’Leary for your support and leadership. It has been a great pleasure working with a group of great professionals and even better individuals.”
He also took the opportunity to thank the wider Gleneagles Townhouse team, adding: “I will miss you all, thank you.”
Herrera joined the property in March 2022 as executive assistant manager and progressed to the role of general manager in October of the same year.
Prior to that, he had spent almost nine years at Spanish resort and hotel brand Finca Cortesin, as well as two years at the Dorchester.
Gleneagles Townhouse opened in summer 2022 as the group’s first luxury city hotel with 33 bedrooms, an all day restaurant, rooftop bar and members’ club.
The Caterer has contacted Gleneagles about his successor.
Gleneagles, which operates Gleneagles Hotel in Auchterarder and Gleneagles Townhouse, is owned by Ennismore.
