Alain Ducasse teams up with the Elior Group

Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse and foodservice firm the Elior Group have teamed up in a consultancy partnership to help drive business forward.

The partnership, between the globally-recognised chef and Elior chairman and chief executive officer Philippe Salle, will also see the group acquire 10% of Alain Ducasse Entreprise's capital, to help with planned new site openings including those in Versailles and the new Les Halles quarter in Paris.

The partnership will also work more generally on culinary consulting, winning contracts and creating joint catering concepts.

Commenting on the new agreement, Ducasse said: "Our partnership with Elior Group represents the inauguration of a new type of business model that allies large-scale services with excellence."

Salle added: "The reason why our two groups decided to join forces is because we have a shared vision of excellence and a common desire to innovate in order to better serve our customers."

Originally from France, Ducasse has restaurants all over the world, including the three-Michelin-starred Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester hotel in London.
Based in London and the South East, Elior also owns Lexington Catering, and operates a concession catering and travel arm across Europe and the US.
