Peter Laigaard Jensen is leaving the AA after just four months as head of hotel services for the guidebook publisher.
He took over the role from Simon Numphud in March this year, who left to work for food procurement company PSL, having moved from his role as chief executive of QafqaZ hotels & resorts, a chain of four and five-star hotels in Azerbaijan.
Laigaard Jensen had been overseeing the overall management of AA inspections and head office teams.
The AA said in a statement: "The AA can confirm that, Peter Laigaard Jensen, head of hotel and hospitality Services, has decided to leave the company to pursue other opportunities. The AA wish him well in the future. A new head of AA Hotel and Hospitality Services will be announced in due course."
The announcement of Laigaard Jenson's departure at the end of July follows that of group area manager Giovanna Grossi, who will leave the AA in September after 17 years in the business.
When Laigaard Jenson was appointed in March 2016, AA membership services director Kirsty Lloyd-Jukes, said: "We are thrilled to be welcoming Peter Laigaard Jensen as head of AA hotel services. His extensive experience brings a wealth of opportunities that will enhance this unique business and enable the brand to grow within the hospitality sector."
