Victoria Marshman has been appointed general manager of the Lowry hotel in Manchester.

It comes after 2022 Hotelier of the Year Adrian Ellis revealed he will be stepping down from the role in June to mark his retirement.

Marshman has more than 10 years’ experience in hospitality and hotel management, having most recently been regional operations director at Native.

She said: “The Lowry hotel is a pillar in the Manchester community, inspired by the city’s spirit and character.”

“I’m delighted to be appointed as general manager of the hotel and to have the opportunity to not only drive towards commercial goals, but also to ensure the smooth and exemplary running of the hotel itself.”

Ellis added: “After 10 years of leading this incredible team through some of the most challenging times we’ve ever faced in hospitality it was incredibly important to me that we found someone that would pick up the reins and continue to uphold the amazing standards we’ve strived to maintain.”
