Revenue boost for Stonegate Pubs thanks to acquisitions and World Cup

Stonegate Pubs has reported an 11% increase in revenue in the year to 30 September 2018, aided by the acquisition of the Be At One group and a World Cup driven summer sales boost.

Total revenue reached £774.4m during the year, with adjusted EBITDA also up 11% at £114.9m.

The group acquired 42 sites during the year, including the 33-site strong Be At One group and four Novus properties, taking its portfolio to 725. It also disposed of 20 sites.

Simon Longbottom, chief executive of Stonegate, said: "Stonegate has enjoyed an exceptionally strong full year in which we have bolstered our growing reputation for being one of the leading operators of high street bars in the UK's towns and cities.

Since the year end Stonegate has continued its expansion reaching 772 sites, including the acquisition of 32-site strong Fever Bars.

Stonegate also reported a successful festive period with like for like sales up 7.8% on the year before.
