Oddfellows on the Park appoints Paul Cooney as head chef
Paul Cooney has been appointed head chef of boutique hotel Oddfellows On The Park in Bruntwood Park, Cheadle.
He previously led the kitchen at the Townhouse hotel in Manchester for more than three years.
He was also executive chef at Blue Pig's Odd Group, and has worked across the Village hotels and Holiday Inn groups in Manchester.
As head chef of Oddfellows, Cooney will oversee the entire foodand events operations at the hotel, as well as creating the menu at the Galloping Major restaurant, located in the original ballroom of Bruntwood Hall.
Cooney said: "Oddfellows On The Park is an exciting move for me. I'm working within an independent hotel where I have the opportunity to put my mark on the menus and create some amazing dishes.
"I'm a big believer in accessible food, so you can expect to see familiar dishes on the menu – but with an extra flair to make them more interesting."
Helio Correia, general manager of Oddfellows On The Park, who was appointed to the role in August 2021, said: "Paul is a passionate chef with a brilliant track record within the Manchester hotel and restaurant scene.
"We are delighted to welcome him to our Oddfellows family, I have worked with Paul for a few years and during that time I was tremendously impressed with his skill and creativity."
