G4S Facilities Management wins £12m deal at Liverpool Women's Hospital
G4S Facilities Management (G4S FM) has been awarded a £12m, six-year contract for the Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust.
The company provides specialist support services for critical environments and will cater for patients, staff and visitors at the 200-bed Liverpool Women's Hospital.
The deal follows the company's recent contract win to deliver FM services at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.
Around 120 staff will work on the contract, which runs from this Friday to April 2017, with the option of a three-year extension.
Chris Elliott, G4S Integrated Services group managing director, said: "This is the latest in a string of major healthcare contract wins for G4S FM.
"It reflects our strong record of collaborative working with NHS trusts and our ability to deliver important high-quality support services that allow clinical staff to focus on patient care."
Linda Martin, Liverpool Women's facilities manager, said: "G4S's commitment to provide bespoke FM services that will ‘best fit' Liverpool Women's Hospital was a key factor in awarding the contract. We are looking forward to working in partnership with them."
