Scottish school meals take-up in decline since arrival of healthy menus
There has been a warning that more investment is needed if the Scottish Executive's Hungry For Success programme is to transform the nation's health and increase the take-up of school meals in Scotland. Statistics announced by the Scottish Executive last week showed that young people were failing to opt for the healthy options, with school-meal take-up at its lowest (46.1%) since 1999. - Sunday Herald, 11 June.
