Wellbeing expert and pasture-fed farmer Liz Earle was named a Love British Food ambassador this week at an industry lunch with chef ambassador Raymond Blanc at Elystan Street.
Catering organisations including the National Association of Care Catering (NACC), Hospital Caterers Association (HCA), The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO) and Cucina are represented on the campaign's committee.
Earle said: "I'm often asked about what to eat for better health and so much of the good stuff comes from high quality, local and sustainable British food. As an organic and grass-fed livestock farmer, I'm also aware of how important it is to support our home-grown farming community who produce all this goodness."
Love British Food's founder Alexia Robinson added: "British Food Fortnight has been so powerful in inspiring people around the country, whether it is big cities like Bath, small communities, schools or care homes. Most importantly we are leading the way in encouraging the public sector to source more British food."
