Vertice 2005 from PLB Wines

Vertice 2005, the new wine from Chilean producer Vi¤a Ventisquero, is a collaboration between the company's Felipe Tosso and Australian winemaker John Duval and is positioned just below its flagship Pangea brand.

It's a blend of Carménère and Syrah grapes that have been hand-harvested from vineyards on the upper slopes of Apalta, the premium vine-growing area of Colchagua.

They produce a deep red, aromatic wine with an aroma that mixes red and blue berries with black pepper, other spices and a hint of oak. Vertice is aged after blending in French oak barrels for 18 months and in bottle for a further nine months.

Aimed at the independent specialist and on-trade market, Vertice 2005 is packed in cases of six bottles.
