The Gin Guild celebrates latest new recruits

The Gin Guild

New recruits include drinks writer and Sipsmith's Master Distiller Jared Brown, expert bartender Nathan O'Neill from London's Milk & Honey and leading mixologist Nick Strangeway. The new members were inducted to the guild during the spring installation ceremony at The Savile Club in London last month.

Required to swear a solemn oath reflecting the traditions of the trade guilds of the City of London, the latest additions join a prestigious group of the gin industry's elite including, producers, brand owners, bartenders and industry leaders involved in the production, promotion and distribution of gin.

The event was the fourth installation since The Gin Guild was established by the Worshipful Company of Distillers, with membership numbers now exceeding 80.

Christopher Hayman, grand rectifier of The Gin Guild, and chairman of Hayman Distillers, said: "The Spring Installation was a great success, probably the biggest gathering of gin experts in one room to date. We are delighted that there is such enthusiasm for The Gin Guild and what it stands for - promoting excellence in this thriving category."
