The Bay Tree to expand foodservice product range

Artisan chutneys, preserves and sauces manufacturer The Bay Tree is to expand its foodservice product range.

To help sustain and promote ongoing growth, the Somerset-based producer has installed a new three head production line at its factory. The equipment, which cost £250,000, will improve efficiency and streamline the production process.

Founder Emma Macdonald (pictured) explained: "Scaling up our operations in no way compromises the ethos that the company has been built on. We continue to make homemade style foods and that's down to a dedicated team that are very much hands on in the creation of The Bay Tree's entire range.

"We've enjoyed sustained growth over a number of years and I am very keen to ensure that the business evolves and that we embrace new challenges and continue to introduce The Bay Tree's explosion of flavours to a wider audience."
