Tennis ace Agassi serves The Queue at Wimbledon 2018

The official partner of Wimbledon 2018, global coffee brand Lavazza, is once again offering a full espresso beverage menu in the players' and debentures' lounges, bars around the ground and The Queue coffee bar.

Legendary tennis star Andre Agassi handed out cups of coffee to tennis lovers queuing for day tickets and supported the Lavazza team in providing a full range of coffee solutions including Lavazza pods, filter and espresso serves.

Lavazza's new Tierra Columbia blend (filter and espresso) was also served alongside Sorbeto (cream iced espressos), Prontisimo from back packs, cold brew and nitro coffees.

David Rogers, managing director of Lavazza UK, commented: "We will serve upwards of 600,000 coffee beverages over the 15 days of Wimbledon 2018. Potentially more than this with the increase in the popularity of the cold-serve coffees."

Group vice-chairmen Marco and Giuseppe Lavazza who were also in attendance at the tournament yesterday spent time with invited guests including Colin Jackson and his actress sister, Susan and alongside Rogers updated guests on recent activity by Lavazza.

Lavazza has recently opened a new headquarters in Turin, Italy with strong ties to the local community. The Nuvola Lavazza, designed by architect Cino Zucchi, showcases its "roots in the future", and includes an 18,500 sq m area open to the city, a gourmet restaurant and an interactive museum, a large events space and an archaeological area, an innovative Bistrot and the home to the Institute of Applied Arts and Design (IAAD).

The project was nurtured by the fourth generation of the Lavazza family and co-created along with leading figures in architecture, food, scenography and design: a "Golden Team" starring Cino Zucchi, Ferran Adrià, Federico Zanasi, Dante Ferretti and Ralph Appelbaum.

With an investment of over €120m, the Nuvola Lavazza was designed to inspire people, foster dialogue, offer cultural, social, business and food experiences.

"Nuvola Lavazza is a unique and innovative place, an open space that embodies our values and history and offers experiences of taste and culture alongside public events," commented Marco Lavazza at the opening earlier this year. "The building also received the highest level (Platinum) LEED certification, which evaluates energy and environment-related aspects of new constructions. Meaning that the Nuvola Lavazza was judged to be one of the most eco-sustainable buildings in the world."
