Supplier press release: Supplier press release: New Ooberstock drinks business signs online IT contract with iTradeNetwork

Ooberstock, the recently launched ‘intelligent wholesale' business for the licensed hospitality sector, has signed a five year ecommerce contract with iTradeNetwork (ITN). The new venture is set to revolutionise online drinks trading.

Ooberstock has partnered with ITN to take advantage of its unique Supplier Storefront solution; a fully integrated online ordering system that offers its business customers the chance to place online orders at their convenience, 24/7. A new bespoke online portal at www.ooberstock.com has been created that will help Ooberstock to deliver sales growth, improve customer communication, retain customers and increase average order values through proactive online marketing campaigns. The site will deliver greater transparency, lower prices, improved customer choice and more flexibility on delivery times.

One of the founders and managing director of Ooberstock, Arran Heal said: "Thousands of retailers have already registered for the Ooberstock service. We aim to revolutionise online drinks distribution and provide a more cost-efficient business model through advanced technologies."

"We needed an innovative ecommerce partner and an IT platform that was aligned to our philosophy of leading the market in online wholesale drinks trading. iTradeNetwork's Supplier Storefront offers our customers an all-embracing online ordering solution that is available 24/7. This is the way forward in our industry. It also allows us to enhance visibility and transparency of our products, prices and special offers, all at the touch of a button."

Ooberstock is offering drinks producers the chance to upload product information to the online portal, with retailers paying the net price from the supplier, plus a transaction fee and delivery charge. The new business offers greater choice to retailers and gives brand owners more influence over where their products are distributed.

Liam Taylor, ITN's chief operating officer for Europe, commented: "Our online environment delivers flexibility, versatility and convenience to the food and drink industry. We are very excited to be working with Ooberstock, the new innovative drinks business that will change the face of ontrade drinks distribution. Our Supplier Storefront offers them a viable ecommerce website solution that delivers profitable sales, cost efficiencies and customer convenience. We look forward to working with Ooberstock in the near future to further develop and enhance their online service offer."

A number of major drinks brand owners have already signed up to the Ooberstock service, including Heineken UK, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Britvic Soft Drinks, Budweiser Budvar, Red Bull, SHS Sales & Marketing, Highland Spring and Wells & Youngs. Over 4,000 pubs, bars, clubs and hotels have also registered for the service.
