Premier Foods has revised its Angel Delight range. Hydrogenated vegetable oils (HVOs) have been removed from the products and the new range is free from artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners and meets school nutrition guidelines.

Angel Delight can be made up quickly and easily by adding milk or water, whisking and chilling. Serve alone as a whip or, for a more substantial dessert, add extra ingredients such as slices of fruit.

To inspire caterers, Premier Foods has developed a number of recipes using Angel Delight including banana butterscotch delight, lemon and strawberry delight pots, and frozen raspberry delight with summer fruits

Angel Delight is available in eight varieties, including Banana, Butterscotch, Chocolate, Raspberry, Strawberry, Lemon, White Chocolate and Peach and comes in 12 x 600g packs.

Premier Foods is also targeting school lunch breaks with a range of single-serve dessert products, under its Hartley's and Ambrosia brands. The range meets the education sector requirements, with all artificial colours, flavours and sweeteners having been removed.

The range consists of eight products: Hartley's Ready to Eat Strawberry Jelly, Orange Jelly and Low Sugar Raspberry Jelly, Ambrosia Pots; Devon Custard, Low Fat Devon Custard, Creamed Rice, Low Fat Creamed Rice and Chocolate Custard.

The Ambrosia range comes in cases of 12 x 150g pots, and contains no artificial colours or flavours or sweeteners and all are gluten-free.

All except Hartley's RTE Orange Jelly and Hartley's RTE Low Sugar Raspberry are suitable for vegetarians.

Hartley's jelly pot range comes in cases of 12 x 125g for Strawberry & Orange and Low Sugar Raspberry in 12 x 115g.
