Quorn calls on foodservice operators to go meat free

Quorn Foods has called on foodservice operators to support World Meat Free Day on Monday 13 June 2016, and go meat free for the day to raise awareness of food security issues linked to overreliance on meat.

Quorn claim the global population's demand for meat cannot be met if predictions are correct, and food production would need to rise by 70% if the global population rises 30% by 2050 as expected.

The campaign will also focus on the impact reduced meat consumption can have on people's diets.
