Oatly's cream substitute from Wassen

Customers who are watching their weight or cholesterol levels or avoiding dairy products can still enjoy cream on their strawberries this summer in the form of Oatly's Dairy-Free Alternative to Cream. The cream substitute, which is made using a patented process developed at Sweden's University of Lund, can be used in any recipe that calls for fresh or heated cream. It contains just 13g of fat per 100g (of which only 3g is saturated fat) and has a calorific value of 150Kcals per 100g, compared with double cream's 445Kcals per 100g.

Recipe ideas range from spiced panna cotta with strawberry and lime topping to golden salmon soup with saffron and prawns. The cream alternative costs £9.53 per case of 18 units, and the minimum order is £150, which equates to 16 cases, or 288 units.
