Nutrition and Hydration Week to take place in June

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the annual Nutrition and Hydration Week, which usually occurs in March, has been postponed to 14-20 June 2021.

The Global Tea Party is scheduled for 17 June, with organisers encouraging this year's participants to focus messaging on staff wellbeing, particularly around nutrition and hydration.

Co-organiser Caroline Lecko said: "With the pressures on health and social care staff, who we know from experience love to engage with the week to promote their great work, we felt we needed to give them some well-deserved breathing space and moving the week was logical."

Consultant and co-organiser, Andy Jones, added: "By still retaining the week in the early summer, we hope it will provide those shoots of hope that some form of normality is on the horizon. We do plan to celebrate in 2022 the past success of the week."
