Dublin's renowned K Club is one customer that finds the MagiCater range of transportable modular barbecues indispensable for alfresco dining. The robust commercial units are made by Middleby Corporation of the USA and are available in two versions - charcoal or gas - and two sizes (30in or 60in tops).
All make use of stainless-steel radiants: heavy-duty hard chrome-plated rods that prevent food from sticking and give a chargrilled appearance. A Staylit pilot system keeps the burners lit even in bad weather.
