M&J Seafood launches online fish and seafood tutorial videos

It has kicked off the service with a series of filleting masterclasses for common fish such as salmon, sea bass and bream, which are demonstrated by M&J's award-winning fishmongers. There are also nine seasonal recipe demonstrations for key menu occasions, including Christmas.

"M&J Seafood specialist fishmongers enable the company to offer a bespoke filleting service, providing ready-prepared fish and seafood to a customer's exact specification," said marketing manager Clare Twiss. "However, we understand that more chefs want to grow their knowledge base and know more about filleting fish themselves, which is the reason for us to create this portal."

"Fish filleting is not only a skill but an art form. Many chefs can be intimidated by the prospect of filleting several different types of fish and our new portal aims to help and support them."

This digital move follows the August launch of M&J's Catch of the Day service, which alerts customers to the arrival of freshly-caught fish in ports across the country via MMS, e-mail and Twitter.
