Frozen meal supplier Apetito has introduced a 50-strong range of meals that are suitable for dysphagia patients, who have difficulty swallowing. The main meals and hot desserts are nutritionally balanced, flavoursome and moulded to retain their shape after cooking.

Examples include High Protein Carrot Soup with a smooth, thin consistency, supplied in 200g portions, and Puréed Beef and Gravy (430g) which has a smooth, thick consistency and each component of the dish is served separately. Puréed Chocolate Sponge comes with vanilla sauce and is supplied in 155g portions.

Each of the 50 meal options is available in individual portions to minimise wastage.
